What a great blessing to have such a wonderful friend! I had the opportunity today to do a shoot of 2 young girls. They are such wonderful girls, and I had a blast working with them! I put up all of my favourite pictures for now, and will pare it down in a few days, I just wanted to give them, and their friends all the opportunity to give their input on which ones they like. Enjoy!

In The Beginning...

Well this is it! My first photography blog. I am so excited to be one step closer to my dream of opening a portrait studio! I am so glad to have people in my life that are so willing to help me along on my journey. There is still a long way to go before things are completely underway...and many more years...but the best way to accomplish anything is one step at a time, and that's what I'm doing.

Yesterday I had the privilege of being able to do one of my best friend's maternity photos. I am always amazed at the miracle of pregnancy, and can't wait for my turn someday. It was wonderful to be able to spend that time not only documenting an important part of the growth of their little family, but also spend time getting to know her and her fiance better. I am glad they were so willing to try what I asked, and I appreciated their artistic suggestions as well. Overall I think it was a very successful shoot and I am very pleased with the pictures that we got. I can't wait until little Jakob comes in September and I get the chance to photograph another big step in their family!
